The Al-Ameen Medical College Bijapur was established in Bijapur in the year 1984. The founder of the Al-Ameen education society Dr. Mumataz Ahamed Khan put in untiring efforts to establish this college. The college is spread across 200 acres of vast land on the western hills of the historic city of Bijapur. The college has been approved by the Medical Council of India and is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science Bangalore. The institution has a mission of making this medical college as one of the best medical colleges in the country. The college has grown over the years and made astounding progress in garnering the confidence of the people. It has added a 500 beds hospital as teaching hospital with all the essentials sophisticated equipment added to it. The Medical council of India has granted permission for adding post graduate courses from the year 1994.

Eligibility
A candidate seeking admission to 1st year of MBBS should have passed 10+2 qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and chemistry biology and physics as compulsory subjects. He must be not less than 17 years of age as on 31 December of the year in which the admission is sought.
