Khaja Banda Nawaz Institute of Medical Sciences Gulbarga (KBNIMS) was established in the year 2000 under the aegies of Khaja Education Society Gulbarga. Janab Syed Shah Mohammad Hussaini the founder of the Khaja Education Society had a dream to have a medical college for the minority community which was in a dire need to have such a facility. The dream was realized by his son Janab Dr Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini. The medical college was got sanctioned as a minority institution. The college has the approval of the central medical authority viz the Medical Council of India. The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health science. The sanctioned intake of seats is about 100 spread in various quotas as per the Government directives. The direct admission is through CET and an all India entrance test for the Minority community. Khaja Banda Nawaz Institute of Medical Sciences Gulbarga (KBNIMS) has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. In the campus the recreational and sportsneeds are amply taken care of. There is a centrally air conditioned Auditorium, with a seating capacity of 750. A well-equipped Laboratory with all modern equipment makes the learning a complete experience
Eligibility
Minimum educational qualification is as per the Govt. of Karnataka guidelines. A candidate has to pass at 10+2 level with minimum of 50% in aggregate and Chemistry and Biology as the compulsory subjects. Direct admission through CET or All India Entrance Test (KRLM UG ET 2010-11) conducted by the Karnataka Religious Linguistic Professional Colleges Association Bangalore. The admissions will be made on Merit on the performance in the KRLM UG ET.
